Race: Hybrid Cat-Boy. Half Human half Anasien Jaguar.
Anthro Aspects: Hunter is a cat-boy. He has jaguar spots in his hair, a slightly (very slightly) feline curve to his mouth, and cat ears. He also has a tail in anthro or 'human' form (so, constatly. His catears come and go, but the tail remains a constant). The tip is solid black 6 inches down, much like a cheetah or snow leopard tail might be (different from the rest of the tail, ya know, not saying cheetahs and snow leopards have solid black coloring on their tails). HUNTER HAS 5 DIFFERENT MAIN APPEARANCES! His main 2 is when he has dyed blonde hair and when the dye is washed out. Also, he hides his tail from time to time to make himself appear more human. The last change is that he has cat-ears from time to time. Around the other servants, Hunter tries to look as human as possible. When they dye gets washed out of his hair, revealing his spots, he never explains it or simply says "Apparently the little princess didn't think I looked enough like a pet before." Rarely, if ever, are his ears showing. Usually only when he is fighting or if he cannot exhaust the energy it takes for him to keep a more human appearance.
Hair color: Gold, dark-brown, black and hints of rust red. Hair color and ears. Or it is a gold-blonde, dyed of course.
Hair Style/notes: Hunter's hair is usually parted down the middle and is thick. It isn't an even cut and is shorter in the back than in the front. His hair is exactly like jaguar fur and goes down to his chin (at the front), or is cut so it goes down to just below where ears would be if he were human and can be pulled back (so long as it covers where human ears would be), with his bangs still hanging down. (Biggest thing we learned from fanart… hide his ears when he’s not in his demi form XD). He does not have a LOT of spots! No, just a few ^_^ Less = More, so don't overdo it when adding the spots :) Hair and tail should be the same color!
Eyes: Sapphire Blue.
Eye distinguishing features: Cat like slits.
Eyelash color: Very dark brown and black.
Height: 4’10 (He's slightly taller than Mira, but short than most everyone else in the book, except for Miraina's friends... Same height as Princess Trinity)
Build: He is well built, but not muscled. Toned. He is still only thirteen and some muscles just don’t develop at that age. This is the best reference I have on his overall appearance. This is him at the beginning of the book! I love this picture.
Skin tone: Pale Caucasian. No spots or fur; flesh.
Age: 12 to 13 (through the story he turns 13)
Face: Oval face.
Clothing Specifics:
PLEASE NOTE! Hunter has a steel collar. ALSO! His gloves should always cover his fingers. They're designed to hide his claws. Hunter is a servant. If you draw him with blonde hair, his clothes consist of gray slacks, black boots that go up to his knees (1700 fashion), black gloves (He has a few different gloves, so please don't feel restricted by style), and a gray shirt distressed to the point where he already tore the sleeves off (if you include sleeves, they should have some tears in them). If he has his spots, he can still wear that or something better. He is a slave, but wealthy nobles usually gave there slaves nice clothes since it made them look all the more wealthy, and because, in the book, slavery is a new thing. They don’t want to make it look like they are the monsters they are by owning slaves, so they give them nice clothes and pretend the slaves are just ‘servants’. So long as you stick to the basic rules, he can be wearing anything :) If you're unsure, show me an example and ask.
Personality:
Hunter is the hero of the story! He, like any slave over the age of 10, was born free and then caged (hence the title of the novel!) Hunter lives in a world separated from both humans and Anasiens because he was born half, and often has trouble deciding what world he belongs in. He cannot be a hunter because he is part prey according to the humans, and worried that he cannot fit in with the Anasiens because of his human side... Hunter decides his mission is to unite the two sides, because he was born to both and thus is the best candidate to do this. He is openly friendly with the other slaves, but does not let them know he is part Anasien... many of the other slaves blame the Anasiens for their situation, so Hunter fears what will happen if they find out what he really is. He hides his tail with coats when he can, and the other servants assume the spots in his hair were dyed by the masters to make him look more like a pet. His eyes they cannot explain, but he is the only hybrid in existence, that anyone knows of, so they just assume any abnormalities are in their minds.
