Clothing Specifics:
I have a few pictures of James from the manga that are viewable at the end of this page. Basically, James, like Mira, Matsi and Hunter, sticks to a Victorian style. He wears boots, long slacks, a nice, shirt and a jacket daily, sometimes a coat if it’s cold out. He doesn’t often wear hats. James prefers blues, blacks and whites for clothes.
Personality:
James is a hero in a slightly different way from Hunter. He is an educator, Mira's tutor, and unlike many of the teachers we have today (unfortunately) he respects the ability to learn and never thinks he knows everything. James is obsessed with The Comet Despair more than anyone else in the entire novel.
James is loyal to Mira and her family. They hired him as a tutor and he feels himself responsible for Mira's education and upbringing to an extent, but... James is different from many other humans in the story, in that he doesn't understand the war. He was home schooled and rather isolated from the rest of society, so when the war started ten years prior to the stories beginning, he just focused further on figuring out why.
While James is loyal to the family, he hides a disappointment in them... He has been responsible for Miraina's education for a few years, and she is still as spoiled and stubborn as ever. She still treats people like objects and, while she is intelligent, she has no passion for an education. James has to hide his hidden desires for answers as best he can, for a part of him fears what would happen if he openly went against the soldiers. he feels like society was somehow altered by the war. Everyone was forced to change and there is no explanation as to why! One day humans and Anasiens are living together in harmony! A day, no... an hour, a minute, a second later there is a war... and he cannot understand why.
