In the morning, Drake went to see if the uncle had left, or if Ellipsis had actually killed him.

Actually, he hadn't, but not through lack of trying. Apparently, the uncle, when sober, was a paranoid bastard. So Ellipsis' attempts to stab him were foiled by body armor the man was wearing. Then, at about two am, Ellipsis had gotten rid of him by telling the man there was a bottle of wine outside the door.

However, Ellipsis still had little sleep, as the uncle had then spent the rest of the night talking to the doormat.

Drake looked at the body and… at first, thought it was a corpse, so he jabbed it with a stick.

The body moaned and let out a weird snort of a snore and Drake gagged and backed away a step, disgusted!

... on the other hand... there was a 400 pound sack of dead weight blocking Ellipsis's door... "Now. This is very interesting." He declared and then slunk off.

His Wings of Fate bow was still hidden in his room on the airship... his Brancher Bow was somewhere in his room here, his Legacy Whip was somewhere by the west pool, his Slicker Whip was in the library next to his Stalker Bow... which he just had to leave with Pricilla if for the brilliant irony alone. He wanted his Bruiser Bow, so he set off to find it. It had spikes... now that he thought about it, the spikes got in the way... and... he had so many other weapons...

Drake was going to have more fun, but... he found bacon, so he was happy. Even when Pricilla came in and bugged him.

"You shouldn't eat so much meat. It'll give you a heart attack and you'll die."

Drake eyed her for a minute. "... Promise?"

"No. So why are you awake so early? No one else is awake."

"I have this distinct feeling I'm going to be in trouble soon... so I'm eating now." Drake replied, taking another piece of bacon.

"Awww, getting in trouble for nothing again?"

"Oh no. This one I did." Drake answered with a grin.

He spoke with her a few more minutes and managed to convince her to go bug her cousin. Once she was gone, he went and got one of his bows.

When Ellipsis woke up, he knew he was supposed to go and check on Drake… but his door wouldn’t move! It seemed to open an inch or two, and then hit the large man's head. Though Ellipsis didn't know what it was, so he whacked the door into the man's head two dozen times before giving up.

Drake walked back to his room to get his arrows and eyed the door weight-er… Pricilla’s dear uncle.

He really did wonder if the man was dead. Especially as the bell chimed signaling breakfast was served.

Pricilla found Dennis outside. “… You’re ruining my party, dear cousin…”

"I am not!" Dennis objected loudly, starting to go red in the face again. "It's that Drake guy! He's a jerk!"

Pricilla fake cried for a while… “He is not! Drakey’s just… shy, that’s all! And it’s your fault! He’s usually not like this!”
And it was true… usually he’d have tried to kill himself by now.

"He's not usually a psychotic maniac that’s sets things on fire all the time?" Dennis inquired, having a hard time believing it. Her fake crying didn't get to him though, he didn't really care.

Pricilla slapped him… again. “Watch your tongue!”

"What the hell!?" Dennis blurted out in response to the slap, having already forgotten what he had said that was so wrong.

“Oops. Sorry, Dennis, but I hear the breakfast chime and I’d hate to miss a meal.” Pricilla growled, storming back inside.

Dennis growled. He hadn't even been able to get to the kitchen to try and pee in Pricilla's tea. Damn that Drake!

Meanwhile, Ellipsis thought he heard someone walking down the corridor, so he gave the uncle a few more bruises on his head with the door. "Hey, whoever is out there, help me get this door open!" He called though the inch and a half gap.

Drake looked at the door and raised an eyebrow before giving an amused smile. “Well now, I could. But what fun would that be?”

Ellipsis growled, realizing what was going on. “You had better have a good reason for trapping me in here or I’m going to tell Eclipse that it was you who broke his window last month. You remember how angry he was about that? You’ll never see the outside world again.”

“Ooooh, temper, temper. It’s not my fault you got locked in your own room.” Drake reasoned, “And what do you expect me to do? I’m not allowed to burn people unless I’ll die if I don’t… or if they’ve pissed off Eclipse… and I am not to start an earthquake, which I bet is what it would take to move this human imitation of a dead whale, for any reason.” He reminded, trying not to sound like he was grinning.

"Dead whale? You mean it's that fat bastard out there?! You're kidding me!!" Ellipsis growled and kicked the door.

“Indeed it is.” Drake smiled, “I think he’s dead.”

"Cool, burn him!" Ellipsis instructed.

“Against the rules,” Drake purred. “Such a shame… then again, you can give me permission to make him move…”

"...How?" Ellipsis asked.

“Just say ‘Alright, Drake, you have my permission to do whatever it takes to make the foul fat man move away from the door’. Easy as that.” Drake said, thinking up a plan.

"But how do you intend to move the huge fat man?" Ellipsis growled warningly, not appreciating Drake's sarcasm.

"Do you want out or not, Ellipsis? Because if you're stuck in there I could really have some fun." Drake gave a demonic laugh as he thought about that... and thought about walking away now to HAVE said fun

Ellipsis sighed. "Fine, get him away. But if you screw me over, then I'm going make you eat the fat guy!" He warned, and gave the door another hard shove into the man's skull.

"Alright!" Drake grinned. "Wait here, I have to go find arrows." And with that, he trotted off.

"What the hell do you need arrows for!?" Ellipsis shouted after Drake, banging the door some more in frustration.

"YOU GAVE ME PERMISSION! THE REST IS MY CHOICE!" Drake cackled.

He ran outside and was gone for about half an hour... then came back and then left again because he forgot why he came back…

An hour later, he remembered and returned.

Pricilla saw him first, of course, but she took off running away screaming her head off. Drake walked back to Ellipsis's door and let out an extremely sharp and loud whistle to wake the uncle up.

With a groan, the man reluctantly started to wake.

"Drake!?" Ellipsis growled, hearing the whistle.

“Just wait!” Drake ordered.

The fat man blinked a lot as he woke up. He looked around and saw sharp eyes glaring at him.

Drake’s newly caught hawk screeched at the man and the man screamed back; managing to heft his entire girth up in a surprisingly short time before bumbling off, trying to escape from the raptor that wasn’t even chasing him to begin with. However, he only got a few feet before he slipped on his own drool and landed in front of the door again, but a little ways from where he had been.

It greatly amused Drake. Same reaction Pricilla had given; well… it would be if she had been sleeping and was a few hundred pounds heavier and had tripped on her own drool rather than flawlessly running away.

"Is he moved yet?" Ellipsis inquired with ill temper.

"Yup! You're free!" Drake announced, petting the hawk.

Ellipsis squeezed out of the door, and then breathed his first few breaths of newfound freedom; which smelled like a fat drunken beached zombie whale... Therefore, he decided to use his freedom, to smack Drake upside the head.

"Ow! Hey! You said 'Move him', you never said how far!" Drake grumbled.

"I know, and that's why I am not making you eat him...where did that hawk come from?" Ellipsis asked, not remembering the prince bringing it with him… it didn’t look like any of the hawk’s he knew Drake owned.

"What hawk? I'm not allowed to have any more hawks." Drake reminded, and pet the hawk.

"Oh, so you found breakfast!" Ellipsis said with an evil grin forming.

Drake was not impressed by the comment. He replied with a grin himself, a grin full of extremely sharp fangs before he brushed it off with a shrug. "I might release it before I leave,"

“I am beginning to think you like to get into trouble, Drake.” Ellipsis sighed, shaking his head. “You really should stop before you get yourself hurt, you know.”

“Pricilla hurts me regardless.” Drake said, shrugging.

“I didn’t mean her.” Ellipsis advised, thinking of how he was beginning to notice Eclipse losing his patience for Drake’s behavior.

Drake tipped his head to the side a bit. He’d been made fun of a lot; ever since he’d started classes with other people. He’d tried to get along with the people his age, but it was difficult… they treated him differently because he was a prince or because he looked demonic… or both. Before he’d left the palace, he hadn’t known how odd he apparently was… inside, so long as he was kind to a person they were most always kind back. A few comments were made, but people would stand up for him. During lessons with other people… no one stood up for him. He’d learned to prepare for it, and to fight back himself. He’d gotten stronger and stronger because he knew he had to. He figured he was strong enough to take care of himself…

“… Who would be able to hurt me?” Drake asked, confused.

Ellipsis stared at the prince a moment…Eclipse had taught him well, but he’d fooled him well, too. Ellipsis knew Drake was strong and he knew Eclipse taught him not to fear anyone… but it was Eclipse who was the real danger. “… Never mind.” He sighed, making the mistake of looking away. When he looked back, Drake was gone. “Aw, not again!”

Drakes new hawk had flown off… Drake wasn’t sure where it had gone off to, so he was looking for it, and on the way he set fire to Dennis’s shoes. It was fun for a little while.

"Did you kill Dennis?" Pricilla growled.

"No..." Drake grumbled, angered that she'd found him... where the hell did the hawk go?

"Why not?" Pricilla pouted.

"To kill him would require being around him and—,"

"And you'd rather spend time with me!" Pricilla cheered.

"No—!"

"There's plenty of time before lunch; it's time to get back to my party and all the fun!"

"... Right... fun." Drake rolled his eyes.

"Oh yes! We'll have so much fun! We should play a game—."

"Hide and go seek!" Drake interrupted.

Pricilla laughed. "You always pick that game!"

"It's my favorite game..."

Pricilla spun around, thinking about that idea, but not really liking it... Drake disappeared during that game a lot and she had a hard time finding him, which was no fun. She turned back to suggest a much, much, much different game— her favorite game, to find Drake gone.

"... Alright.” Pricilla said, with a voice as cold as ice. “Let the games begin..."

It was then that Dennis dived into the fountain not far from Pricilla. He had caught fire! Someone or something had tried to kill him! Lucky for him, there had been that fountain right there.

"DENNIS!" Pricilla screamed. "YOU ALMOST GOT MY NEW DRESS WET!!!!!"

"I did not!" Dennis argued, though she was kind of close to the fountain, and he was heavy and had caused a rather big splash. In fact, his whole argument was poorly researched and not supported by compelling evidence, but that didn't matter to Dennis.

Pricilla slapped him again. "You get one last chance and I'll let you eat today! We're playing hide and seek and I've already found you, so you can't hide. Go find people."

"Okay!" Dennis agreed quickly. She had been insulting him, and that was obvious, but the only part that mattered, to him, was the promise of food. He had a new burst of energy, which he used to waddle hastily into the building.

Drake glared at the roof. He could jump, he had, but the edge was like daggers! There had to be a way...

Ellipsis was eating breakfast muffins along with a few other adults still trying to get breakfast in the hall underneath the roof that Drake was trying to climb onto... completely unaware.

Drake looked around... inconspicuously... he wasn’t allowed to fly near town. Or during the day. Or in Shivel… but, that was only if he were caught. As far as he could tell, everything was perfectly allowed so long as Eclipse never found out about it.
So he waited till he was sure no one was looking, then he burned into his TF, looking around again.
No one was around—if someone could see him, they’d be screaming by now. “Sometimes, I scare myself.” Drake snickered and jumped up, letting his wings catch the air and pulling him up. They were still too big, and he did still have to fall to land… but he got on the roof!

Ellipsis looked up when he heard the clunk of something hitting the roof. As did one or two other people, but they lost interest once they saw that the ceiling wasn't going to fall down.

Damn nobles. Ellipsis thought to himself as he continued to look, and try to listen over the background noise of the hall.

Pricilla had all her friends and scouts out searching. Everyone she ‘found’ became one of her pawns.

Drake saw a few of them go outside, but no one looked UP. Even if they did, what could they do? Nothing! He was safe from everything up here.

Drake surveyed the town for a while, before he let the fire eat up his TF once again. Then he just walked around a bit, and found the hawk he’d lost flying outside of town.
“… I miss my raptors. They stick around.”

Ellipsis hadn't heard any noises from the roof in a while. It was probably just a big bird or something, so he saw absolutely no reason to try climbing the long and not exactly stable-looking ladder up to the roof.

Then he looked down, and saw the fat zombie-whale smelling man was very slowly limping towards him.

So Ellipsis climbed the ladder onto the roof. Fast.

Drake looked over, shocked. “…Căcat! How the înclinaţie did you get up here!?”

"The ladder, believe it or not." Ellipsis sneered and finished climbing up the ladder, letting the trap door close behind him.

“… There’s a ladder?” that… was interesting.
Drake had never been able to find one… knowing where that one was would be extremely useful.

"Of course there's a ladder, how did yo-..." Ellipsis trailed off, his face went blank and he looked around for a split second before turning back to Drake with a suspicious glare. "How did you get up here?"

Drake gave him a blank stare in return. His mind desperately searching for an answer and giving the first one that came to his beckoning. “I used the ladder…”

Ellipsis' eyes narrowed in suspicion. “Then why didn't you know there was one?” He enquired.

“… … … … Amnesia?” Drake guessed.

“Oh, then you must also have forgotten that your girlfriend is looking for you.” Ellipsis 'informed' Drake with an evil, but amused smirk on his face.

“And your boyfriend is looking for you!” Drake grinned, “I smelt him approaching.”

“Hah! You don't have amne- what?!” Ellipsis stopped in mid-sentence, it took him a moment to realize what Drake was saying. For a brief second Ellipsis thought Drake really had lost it. Then the real meaning dawned on him and he felt like strangling Drake.

“There's nothing wrong with you!” Ellipsis concluded, “At least nothing new...”

Meanwhile, unknown to them, the whale man had indeed spotted Ellipsis climbing the ladder, somehow, through his alcohol-blurred vision. He had spotted his son, and was now ordering him up the ladder to ask his friend to come down. “No way I'msh gonna trysh that ladder, it looks dangeroush!”

Drake just smirked at that, glad he had once again managed to dodge a ‘so how did you?’ question.

“So how did you get up here?!” Eclipse demanded again, but it was at that moment that a panting and even redder than usual Dennis pushed open the trap door, muttering something about servants work. If the lack of food had done him any good, it wasn't showing yet.

Drake backed up. Blasted ladder! How had such a fat tub of lard managed to make it all the way up to the roof?! It should have been impossible!
Got him out of answering, though.

“Well, it’s been wonderful speaking with you, Ellipsis, but as it turns out I have to run.”

“You!” Dennis shouted; his voice a mix of anger, shock, and glee all at the same time. He paused and then laughed, heading back inside again, muttering to himself about going to get food from Pricilla.

“I hate this damn place,” Ellipsis decided for the millionth and first time.

Drake darted forward long enough to shove Dennis down the trap door with the hope that he’d land and break something.

He landed on his father, so it was a soft albeit disgusting landing, that sent the room full of nobles into grimaces, and his father back into unconsciousness. Dennis however, was safe to waddle off to find the Empress.

Urgh! She said to find Drake, but not where to find her!” He complained as he began his search anew, already panting hard.

Drake groaned. This had been the perfect hiding spot! And it was ruined!
He glared at Ellipsis with a demonic glare.

“Well, are you going to go away now before you ruin my hiding spot?” Ellipsis asked when he noticed Drake glaring at him.

“No. What I am going to do is push you off the roof.” Drake informed, politely.

“Try it,” Ellipsis dared, but his tone wasn't angry or menacing, it was just more teasing than anything. “I'm sure your girlfriend will be along in a moment to help you.”

“Oh, now I am going to tell everyone you’re up here.” Drake grumbled, not happy.

“Go ahead. There's no way that fat guy is getting through that hole.” Ellipsis retorted happily.

“Your new friend will try. He seems to be the annoyingly dedicated type; you could be trapped up here forever.” Drake noted, glancing down as if judging how long a drop would be.

Ellipsis huffed and crossed his arms. “He's completely drunk and had been hit in the skull several times. He'll never get up that ladder far enough.”

“I bet he’s drunk enough not to care about the pain and only care about getting up here,” Drake said.

“Hah! Don't you remember how fat he is? Would you be able to carry that weight up here?” Ellipsis asked, knowing, but also hoping, that the answer was no.

Drake thought about that… “I don’t know. I’ve never tested how much I can lift…” or if he had, he couldn’t remember. “That doesn’t matter, though. He is used to hauling all that weight around.”

Pfft, there's no way that ladder can support his weight even if he has the strength to haul himself up here.” Ellipsis again spoke the probable truth. The ladder to the roof was old, and would probably have needed to be replaced ten years ago.

Drake got a much different plan. This plan involved flying far, far away. So, he smiled and looked away, as if he'd lost interest in everything. He circled around, moving away from Ellipsis and making a point not to look at him.
Stop looking at me; I'm not looking at you.

Ellipsis, not being the mind reader that Eclipse was, had no idea what the boy was thinking. He was just confused why Drake was walking back and forth on the roof; was he looking for a place to jump or something?

Drake moved over to the edge and looked down and around, being sure no one was around to see. Ellipsis continued to watch Drake, what was making him act so odd?

Stop looking at me so I can escape... No one else was around; no one else was looking, but Drake knew Ellipsis would tell Eclipse and that... would be very, very bad.

Dennis was still checking near Drake's room. For some reason, Pricilla could almost always be found there. 'Dammit! Where is she? Argh, screw it, I'm hungry, I'm going to go to the kitchen' Dennis thought to himself. He might have said it aloud, but he was too busy panting from all the walking.

Dennis had a smirk on his face as he approached, even though he was red and breathless. Not to mention sweaty and even more pungent than usual.

Pricilla snarled when she saw Dennis approaching.

“There you are!” Dennis accused once he was close enough to talk to her without much effort.

“What are you doing here! You are not allowed to sneak food!” Pricilla snarled.

“But I was looking for you!” Dennis snapped as he came to a wobbling halt finally in front of her.

Pricilla eyed him. “... why?”

“Found... Drake!” He panted.

Ellipsis was starting to get bored of watching Drake act as if he was up to nothing. Drake was getting really bored with pretending he wasn’t up to anything. Patience had always been difficult, especially when he could see what he wanted and he wanted it so bad.
Still, he waited.

“REALLY!?!? WHERE??!?” Pricilla shrieked.

“Roof of the dining hall.” Dennis told her, “… I get to eat now, right?”

Drake felt a disturbance in the air and shuddered.

Pricilla took off running, completely ignoring her cousin's plea for food.
DRAKE!” She screamed as soon as she saw the ladder.

The sound scared him. As much as he'd hate to ever admit it out loud, Drake hadn't expected it and it... had scared him. Scared him enough to force him to shift to his TF. Ellipsis missed the shift; the scream had caused him to be startled as well. His head whipped around quickly and he stared at the trap door instead of at Drake, who used the opportunity to escape.

Ellipsis chanced a look down the trap door to see Pricilla shrieking at her uncle to move. Pricilla shrieked and steamed, using language a lady of her status should not use in public.

“Hey Drake! Your girlfr-.” He started, but then stopped as he noticed Drake was gone. “Where did you go!?” The blue-robed man demanded. Ellipsis walked to the edge of the building that Drake had been closest to, and looked down, scanning the ground. There was no sign of Drake! Eclipse growled as he realized this meant he must have flown off.

Drake looked around soon as he landed. His wings disappeared as he realizes they would be rather easy to spot and he climbed through an open window.
He was on the opposite side of the palace… She’d get on the room, this bought him at least an hour!
… Should have tried to fly away, but to where? That was the rub. It was a big continent, but the castle took up a large part, the rest had absolutely nothing. No good hunting, no nothing, and if Eclipse found out Drake had, yet again, slipped away when he’d been given orders to stay inside… that would be a rather regretful experience.

Oh, he was going to murder Dennis!

Dennis was in a personal heaven, gorging himself on the food he had stolen. He was a little disappointed that Pricilla always had really bad cheese. It was an insult to him, he hadn’t taken cheese appreciation classes to be fed that second rate cheese. He had tasted Alexandrian goats cheese that tasted better than Pricilla’s cheese.
The cream cakes, on the other hand, were delicious.

Once she got some people to help drag her uncle out of the way, Pricilla rushed up the ladder faster than someone might expect her to be able to move in such a heavy gown.
She slammed through the trap door and looked around.
Then she decided Dennis must die. “I’ll murder that self-centered fool!” She declared and slid back down the ladder.

Drake found him first and slammed the fat boy’s head into some sort of cake…

Aragh!!!” Dennis screamed, he hadn't noticed anyone come in, and now his face was covered in cream, and he dared not open his eyes and get cream in them. “I got cream up my nose!” He complained and sneezed into his prized cake, spreading the cream even further around the room.

Ellipsis blinked again. What had just happened? Well, at least the girl hadn’t asked him where Drake was. Well, if she had managed to get up there, the whale man must have moved, so he opened the trapdoor back up. The fat man was still laying face down on the ground, but a few feet away from the ladder.

He quickly scrambled down the ladder and went to walk out of the hall. However, the uncle must have spotted him because he called out something that was completely incomprehensible. Ellipsis pretended not to hear and carried on.

Drake moved back to avoid the cream grenades. He almost felt bad for ruining the cake. He grabbed Dennis’s hair and pulled back fiercely. “You’ve caused me far too many problems,” he growled.
He still has his fangs, which gave him an accent since it was rather difficult to speak with fangs. He doubted his voice would be recognized, and due to the cake clouding the boy’s vision, his TF wouldn’t be seen, either.

Dennis screeched loudly, but he still didn't open his eyes. Trying to work out who it was pulling his hair didn't even enter into his mind to be considered yet. The only thing he did was strike out quickly (for him), and blindly with his fork. It was coincidentally the weapon he was most trained in.

Drake wasn’t happy about nearly being stabbed by a dirty fork, he was about to voice this when he heard someone else approach.

“Drake!” Pricilla hissed.

“… La dracu.” Drake cursed and instantly his TF burnt away.

Dennis finally opened his eyes once there was a sudden hiss of his nemesis' name, and then silence. The fork was still held where he had tried to stab it, and his face was still covered in cream.

“See? I found him!” Was about the only moronic thing that Dennis could think to say, but he smiled, thinking it was incredibly witty.

“… Drake, kill him already!” Pricilla ordered.

Drake took a few seconds to be conflicted about that. He wanted to kill him, but he didn’t want to obey Pricilla…
Pricilla turned and stormed off and Drake followed, without letting go of Dennis’s hair.

The fat boy screamed in agony before the sound annoyed Drake enough to let go. Then he realized he needed to run as Pricilla grabbed his arm.

“Found you,” she purred.

Heh… sure did.” Drake looked for an escape while Pricilla glanced away, paying attention to something else.

He spotted an exit and was about to go for it when he heard a weird clicking sound. Drake’s eyes shot to the source of the sound. Something metal around a post in the wall… a chain, and something metal around his wrist. “… Cuffs?”

“You have this nasty habit of disappearing; this way you can’t! Because I have to go fire, and no not the way you mean it, whoever it was that let my revolting cousin have food and then hire someone else to replace them as a show that they had no importance here whatsoever. So stay here, Drakey, k? Okay!” Pricilla pranced off.

Drake pulled against the cuffs as hard as he could and was… rather frightened to find they didn’t give. “… She does know I hate her!”

That’s when he noticed the fat uncle coming his way. Ajutor! Ajutor! Vrei!” His panic caused him to forget… no one here spoke that language, except Ellipsis.

The blob moved closer and closer… Drake roared so loud the entire palace shook. This was Hades’ kingdom! This was worse than that! He figured this was a big enough emergency and shifted to his TF form. He used his wings to get up higher and found the pole got weaker at the top. He had to tug a lot, but it broke and he took off at top speed.

Ellipsis heard the roar and ran outside to see if it was what he hoped so much it wasn't.

Please be the earth dragon god coming back to life. Or a silver dragon coming to attack or a grand dragon that is way out of its territory! He begged. Don't be the boy, please!

Drake went and hid in his room. He needed to change for dinner, anyway. “What I need, is an outfit with spikes! Yes, the fireproof stuff is useful, but spikes would rock and—oh… putting on shirt with wings out is hard. Noted,” Drake shifted out of his TF and finished getting dressed. His shirt had two slits in the back so after his wings were formed they would go through the slits, but getting the wings once they were in physical form to go through was very, very difficult… He had some designed with clasps and buttons for when his wings were out, but had never found the need to use them till just now.

Now he just had to sneak back out of his room. Had to find an axe…find an axe, chop the cuffs off, and then find a new hiding place till the ship came. Master plan.

Ellipsis couldn't see anything in the sky, so he knew he must have missed whatever it was, so the only place he could think to go to check was Drake's room.

He knocked on the door, loudly.

Drake hissed and then thought maybe if he was quiet the problem would go away. He slowly slunk away from the door..., which was the exact opposite of his previous goal, but survival was his new plan.

After getting no answer at the door, Ellipsis tried to open it. Drake didn’t have locks on the door… a fact he greatly regretted… well, all the time.

There was no stopping it, he’d been caught… so there was only one thing left to do..

Lie through his teeth. “Who is it!?

Ellipsis barged right in without knocking, half expecting to see Drake in his TF. Though he did immediately wonder why the boy was wearing handcuffs…

“Was that you?” The man in blue robes demanded.

“... Was what me?” Drake put his hands behind his back, tipping his head to one side.

“Aha! Now I know it was you, everyone in the castle must have heard that roar!” Ellipsis accused, his eyes narrowing.

Drake had forgotten the roar... he'd broken so many rules, it was hard to keep track. “... La dracu. So what if it was me?”

“Eclipse is going to wear your intestines as a necklace... and not figuratively this time.” Ellipsis informed Drake, and there was no sign that he was exaggerating. “Or maybe even make you stay here for six months!”

“Only if he finds out,” Drake breezed.

“Knowing him, he probably already knows.” Ellipsis warned, with the tiniest hint of what might have at one time, been fear.

Drake cringed, thinking about that. It was true, too

At first, he tried to rationalize it. The only person who’d seen him had been that drunk slob and who would believe him? He hadn’t hurt anyone, not that Eclipse would care much about that. It hadn’t accomplished much… if you ignored the broken post. Then he realized his worry was showing and he blocked it off, rolled his eyes and pretended he didn’t care, “I’ll deal with that when it comes. Right now, I can do whatever it is that I want.”

“Until Eclipse closes the barrier down on you,” Ellipsis added warningly and crossed his arms. He hated it when the boy got all arrogant like this, it made him even harder to be around, and 'supervise'… but Ellipsis knew it was fear.

“Noted. What do you care, anyway?” Drake grumbled, dropping his hands to his side. “I’ll deal with whatever comes…”

“Yes, but it will be me who gets it too, because I am meant to be watching you!” Ellipsis rhymed unintentionally. He knew that there were two types of people in the world. Those that didn’t ever want Eclipse to be mad at them, and those that didn’t know that they never wanted Eclipse to be mad at them yet… Drake knew Eclipse might try to hurt one of his raptors or ground him, but Ellipsis feared he’d do much worse to the boy.

“All these facts I will review, I promise you my word is true. These issues I’ll do my best to subdue, it’s nothing that I can’t pursue, or at least send my appeal to. But I’m sick of being in this zoo, with all this mess that I’ve been through, these torments happen as if on cue, a set up I've always knew, and the knowledge I have only to accrue, simply something more to construe. I’m going to escape this judicial review, and so I wish you a grand adieu.” Drake said in a rhythmic, all too sarcastic fashion just before he walked out the door, shutting it behind him.
“And to think, I thought that rhyming dictionary was a lousy birthday gift…”

“Well... he's finally lost it...” Ellipsis decided, and started to contemplate whether or not to go after him. Surely Eclipse would have the barrier up; Drake tried to escape every time, no exaggeration. Pricilla would probably catch up with him soon too...
