Clothing Specifics:
Matsi is a servant like Hunter. Her uniform is a white cotton dress with a black apron, sort of a reverse French maid. She also has pierced ears but wouldn’t have in expensive earrings. Probably something simple; something a person could make on their own with glass and metal wire.

Personality:
Matsi. Matsi, Matsi, sweet and brave. Her name and her name's meaning. She finds Hunter chained up in a shed outside the manor, and offers him friendship no one else ever has. He still must hide what he is (though none of the pictures reflect that directly, if you look in many of the example pictures, Matsi is always 'turning a blind eye' on him. She is never facing him directly. While they have each other's backs, she is never looking right at him. Throughout the story, there are hints that Matsi actually knows what he is... but prefers not to acknowledge it, because she sees him as a little brother; as someone that needs her, and at the same time someone who might save her. Hunter plans on ending slavery and freeing all the slaves, Matsi included. Matsi is seventeen and a 'maid' at Lilith manor. There is a reason Samuel buys young girls, none of them are over eighteen in the first novel. Like slavery today and in the past, women have duel purposes. In book one, this is not evident, and isn't meant to be (at least not in Lilith Manor or James's house), but many of the fans and readers have commented on the fact that Samuel has Anna and many other paid workers taking care of the house, and wonder why Matsi and Wahotts jobs seem to counteract that... Hunter knows why, of course. All the slaves know, but it's not something they are just going to say-- it gives a greater purpose on why Hunter is so desperate to get them free before something happens.
